Then and Now

Earlier last year, Tracy messaged me about setting up a time for family photos. I of course, happily obliged, having worked with them for her daughter Haley's senior session. Haley will soon be heading off to college, and their oldest son Tyler finishing college and entering the workforce, there was no time better than the present!! She also mentioned that and she and her husband Mike wanted to commemorate a very special time in their lives - celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary in August! It is so refreshing to see a couple so happy together and that have formed such a tight knit bond as a couple and as a family! I truly had such a fun time working with this bunch again and getting to know them even more -- we even spoke about how Tracy was actually my 4th grade teacher at one time, laughing about how well Tyler and Haley get along (compared to some sibling rivalry growing up in my family, lol!) and even completing out the session with an informal 'selfie'! Gosh, I really do LOVE my job!!

GAH!!!! SO excited to share these images - - I was asked to be a photographer - by Nichole Reicher, Owner of 100% Pure Pro Makeup - for her new branding video!! (Shot by the one and only Katherine Mendieta Photography & Films, I might add) PS - let me go off on a bit of a tangent here and say that if you are a photographer, business owner, bride to be, etc. etc. and need video work done - PLEASE do yourself a favor and inquire for her services. She is one of the best in the business and is an absolute creative genius videographer. Oh, and she's super sweet and fun to boot!! Community Ties

Lily Bug

This little spit-fire is gonna break hearts, let me tell ya! I have known Lily since the day she was born and every single time I see her, I can't get over her spice for life, her sweet little smile and by golly those lashes - they get me every time! She is turning into such a beautiful little lady and she keeps me on my toes every time. :) Enjoy ~

An extra special Mom + Me

These guys get a separate little post :) Meet my sister in-law Jamie and her sweet little babes! They also did a mini mom+me session! They came back to Iowa for a few weeks, and so we were able to snap a few for mom, as she is in the same boat I am with struggling to actually be IN photos with the kiddos! It is so hard to do when you are typically operating the camera! Despite Con not totally being 'into' photos that morning, I'd say it was still a success! And at the end of the session, I threw my two into the mix, which made for quite hysterical actions in order to get them all to look/smile. I did manage to get THE ONE at the end, and trust me, that was THE only one, lol! (except for the comical blooper at the end) 4 kids under the age of 4. They sure are cute though, if you don't mind that I say so myself!

Ahhhh... I love LOVED these mini's! :) I had such a blast meeting all of these moms and their families!! We had a gorgeous evening (a tad bit windy, but still gorgeous!) for the sessions. Below is a small sampling of the amazing images I shot! Enjoy~

Baby Grins

Babies are just the best. And a baby smiling is even better. Meet Hunter - 8 days new. He gave me lots of grins during his session, one REALLY big one seen below. Such a stinker! He is probably smiling because he knows he is spoiled rotten already! And he was such a great sleeper for me. Can you tell he *might* be a football player when he gets older?! :) He is part of a great family - Scott and Shelli couldn't be any luckier to have this lil guy in their lives! I mean - that last photo of Shelli with Hunter, SO so sweet. Becoming parents is just the best, and when I get to share in capturing some of the first photographs as a family, it fills my heart!
