We've Got Family!

Large groups scare me - plain and simple. Tougher to pose, tougher to control (especially when lots of small children are involved) and they are also a LOT tougher to edit on the backend-- normally resulting about 6 head crop/pastes to get one decent shot and more precious minutes in photoshop. Nope- NOT with this family. To put it simply, they ROCKED out their session and made it look easy as pie! Everything came together beautifully and I got some great shots! I am normally shooting solo, but this time, I brought back-up - AKA my mom :) She was the child-wrangler, shirt-tugger, hair fixer & whistle/toy extrordinare, and can say this may not have been quite the success without her help, so I gotta give a shout out to her :)

Meet the Schulte clan! I am TERRIBLE with names, so forgive me, but I will try to list (at least the adults) Doug, Delana, Justin & Beth, Ben & Karen, Adam & Kari, & Megan! Annnd all the kiddos! :) They were a big ball of fun to shoot, and the kids behaved like absolute angels! You can tell they all love grams & gramps for sure! It's crazy how a family can start with just two people and blossom into such a huge group! Doug & Delana were given this shoot as a gift last Christmas, and are blessed with a wonderful group of children and grand-children :) The kids even helped me pack up my chairs & props when it was all said and done~ I do believe a great time was had by all! There is nothing better than the awesome feeling after I leave a shoot and know that I captured some treasured moments & memories that will last a lifetime and hopefully grace the walls of many families! Enjoy~

It's a beautiful life

New life is simply amazing. There are moments in this life that just can not be put into words, and one of these moments was the moment I brought life into this world, and became a mom. I am sure that any mother would say the same! It changes your whole world in a way that nothing else could. And because of it I gained a whole new sense of life and my life’s work. I now know how important and treasured these first few moments become, and want to capture every single one, for they are fleeting and so, so very important. I sometimes need to pinch myself to realize how lucky I am having the ability to capture these precious moments for other moms!

Meet little Aubrey Lou, at just 6 days new. She was an absolute dream to work with- so sleepy and cuddly, I could have kept her all day! And her big sister Addison is completely in love with her and did so well also! I just loved having these girls come visit! I hope that Aubrey’s family enjoys her sneak peek into some of her very first images! And I thank them for letting me spend some time snuggling with her and capturing these precious moments!

Girly Girl :)

Meet Miss Harper! Isn't she just the cutest~ I have to say, this little girl has some of the prettiest blue eyes I have ever seen! {And not to mention the most adorable little blonde curls too!} It was a joy meeting her as well as her mom and grandma! I do love my little man, but it sure is a wonderful part of my job when I get to meet & photograph the little girls every once in a while! Owen even got to meet her. :) And what girly session wouldn't be complete without a little lip-gloss?! She was so stinking cute, and just HAD to have some of grandmas gloss :) I hope you all enjoy the sneak peek~

Live, laugh & love for a lifetime.

Welcome 2013! Excited to get back rolling... the temps are warming up, and the schedule for this year is filling up VERY quickly! I am excited for lots of new & exciting progress this year, and want to thank ALL of you for making 2012 a great success!

Up on the blog today are some family photos. Timeless images that I hope this family will enjoy for many years to come-- I hope that Junior & Luella had a wonderful anniversary, and wish them many, many more. :) It's crazy to think that two people could share a love for one another for 60 years-- but this couple has. And they have one great big fabulous family to show for it! During this shoot, Luella was talking to Junior, and made the comment "...and to think we started all of this...!"  ~ Enjoy.
