Claire

This afternoon I photographed little miss Claire- who turned one year old this April.
She was so much fun to photograph, despite the very windy conditions today! She took it all in stride, and even made me work for a few of the shots, spinning around in a circle turning away from me-- it was the cutest. She was more concerned about playing with the stick on the sidewalk of course... what kid wouldn't be! She loved her little pink balloon, & seemed to love being outside, & her mom did a great job making her laugh for me. I hope everyone enjoys this sneak peek!

The Lewin Sneak Peek

Hello again-
Today I worked with the Lewin family, a fun upbeat family that was game for whatever I had in mind! It was for sure an April day-- a little windy, cold, and of course rainy, but we were able to get outside for a short while to snap some awesome outdoor family portraits. I want to thank the family for braving the cold & rain! We walked around their hometown of Earlville for these photos, and although the weather wasn't the best, the families made the best of it and were a pleasure to work with! I hope they enjoy their sneak peek, and I am sure I will be seeing them all again soon! Enjoy!

The Hansen Family Sneak Peek

Perhaps some of you may remember the Hansen's....
I photographed their maternity session this past winter, (I posted a few images to refresh your memory) and today had the pleasure of meeting their daughter! We had a fun maternity session, despite the snow, and today we pulled off some cute snapshots of their little bundle of joy, indoors, since the weather didn't want to cooperate today! We got some great images nonetheless! I hope the Hansen's enjoy their sneak peek, & it was a pleasure seeing and photographing them again! Congrats!

The Seaman Family

Tonight I had the pleasure of meeting and working with the Seaman family~ Josh, Laura, Logan & Addison! They traveled from Cedar Rapids, with the twins (& dog Lucy to boot!) and what fun they were! I am loving being able to shoot outside, and the Seaman family was ready for anything! Some moms would probably wonder if I was crazy wanting to put their little ones in a barrel, but not the Seaman's- they were up for anything! I loved this shoot, and got the opportunity to work with twins, which was a first for me! Some may think they'd be twice the work (which you'd have to ask the moms & dads about that) but I think they are definitely twice the fun!! I hope they enjoy their session sneak peek!

Haydin

Bright yellow daffodils, check. Sunglasses, check. Lollipops, check. Umbrella, check. Rubber boots, check! This shoot was destined to be fabulous from the beginning!! Haydin, I and her mom & dad had waaay too much fun with this one... I'd say spring has officially sprung! Haydin was living it up in her colorful little outfits today! We first took a little tour around town, had some fun watering lollipop flowers (before devouring them) and next headed to the backroads for some fun in the stream. Of course Haydin couldn't resist playing in the water! I absolutely LOVE these images- they make me want to be a kid again! And I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I did taking them, and as much as Haydin loved being in them!! Get outside and enjoy the sun, & live it up every minute!

The Hansen's

What a fun-filled day! I packed up my equipment & hit the road for today's session! I traveled to Jason & Kari's home, where they welcomed me, as well as my carload of stuff. They recently built a beautiful home, and just added a new little bundle of joy to their family- Eliza! We shot some family photos, and of course we couldn’t forget big sister Sydney! She was a great little model & loved getting her photo taken! She had the most beautiful big brown eyes. And in the downtime I was even able to sneak a few snapshots of Libby- the furry member of the Hansen family, who thought the perfect napping spot was right next to us all! I truly hope the Hansen family enjoyed their session & these images as much as I do!
