F is for Football (and frost, and freezing... lol!)

Most likely one of my chilliest senior sessions to date, but one of the best as well! (see last photo - that is literally FROST on the grass. But aside from it being SO COLD, I think it actually looks super cool.) Meet Sam - class of 2016 West Delaware! He's a pretty amazing football player (Ahem, he just broke the school record for touchdowns. Yep.) and he is also an all around nice guy. I had a lot of fun hanging out with Same & his mom!! I shot his older brother Michael's senior pics as well, so it was nice catching up with what these guys have been up to! I hope you all enjoy the sneak peek!

Keepin' it Real

I absolutely LOVE this family. Most of all, because they are who they are and they keep it real! When I mentioned grabbing a few chairs for the family portion of their session, Karla said that they could probably sit on a bale of hay, & be just as happy! Lol! Of course I chuckled, and ALMOST did a few of them sitting on a bale (if I could have found one) but honestly I thought to myself, these are some cool people. They keep it real, are sweet as pie, and they are true to their lifestyle. I knew I had just the perfect natural setting for their session! And the boys wore their belt buckles and cowboy hats and the most important shots to Jordy were his hunting shots. These guys were RIGHT up my alley! And Jordy and Chance are the most gentleman-like boys I think I have ever worked with to boot. ANNNDD this bunch had THE most amazing golden skies at their session, better than I could have ever asked for. I just plain love these images! Enjoy!

Foundation of Love

After 40+ years of marriage, I'd say these two know a little bit about love :) Marriage isn't easy by any means, it takes work, compromise, communication and understanding. These two exemplify love and family - they are my aunt and uncle, and I just adore these images!  We had a session planned a few years back, but bad weather put a kabosh to our plans. I am SO glad my cousin Sandy (their daughter) contacted me to get another time on the books for a Christmas gift to them. Their session was complete with a wedding photo they treasure and a few special shots to relive a recent visit to Arizona! I truly hope at some point you all are able to have memories captured at some point in your life of you or your family no matter what point it may be. Life moves so fast, and without photos to look back on, those memories become more and more fleeting every day. I really hope that Janet & Bill enjoy their sneak peek of images - I had SO much fun working with them!

Love is in the air!

Eeek! I couldn't wait to share these images with you all... but it took me FOREVER and a day seemingly, to pick my faves!! There were just WAY too many amazing shots to pick from! And I am sure this couple's wedding day will be nothing short of amazing as well! Meet Cody & Callie ~ I had such a fun night with these two, they are such a sweet & loving couple, I can just tell they are destined to be together! I have known Callie's family for a while, with her parents living straight across from my in-laws, and I just know this is one spring wedding I would have regretted saying no to photographing! I mean.... just look at Callie. Drop. Dead. Gorgeous!! These two could have walked off the pages of a magazine, for gosh sakes! One beautiful fall evening + one stunning couple = happy photographer. AND pretty pictures :)
Enjoy!
PS: I gotta give a shout out to Callie's awesome hair & makeup team - Shawna Pottebaum & Anna Corkery

Family Fun

Meet the entire Goedken clan!! They got one of THE best fall evenings we could have asked for for their photo session ~ calm, cool and comfortable! It made for some pretty and colorful images, as you can see! You've probably seen 2 of the 5 people here before -- both Ryan & Kristi had their senior images taken by me! (View Ryan's here & Kristi's here) Fall is my absolute favorite time to photograph families because mother nature provides such a beautiful backdrop for timeless images that families can hopefully cherish, display and enjoy for many years to come! It has been such a joy working with the Goedken's and I hope they enjoy their sneak peek!

New life, new love

If you don't like itty bitty adorable newborn babies or super sweet beautiful little families, I'd steer clear of this blog post, because it is CHOCK full of them! :) Meet the Kluesner family and their new bundle, Miss Eva Therese! Oh my goodness, I can't say that I have ever seen such a mild-mannered sleepy baby! She definitely spoiled me with her perfect behavior! I probably could have popped a balloon, and she would have slept through it! She was down for the count! I am good friends with Joel and Nicole and also photographed their wedding (post here) last October, so I was THRILLED with the news announcing their pregnancy!! They seriously could not be any more of a perfect little family, and I am so excited for them as they start on this journey! It is the toughest most rewarding thing, becoming a parent and raising a child! Enjoy!

Lots of Laughs

What a way to kick off fall!!! We had an absolutely GORGEOUS evening for this group's family portraits! The morning started off pouring down rain, so the day didn't look real promising, but the skies cleared and it was just perfect! And I am not sure that I've seen a more amazingly styled group than these 4 right here... the colors tied in SO well with the hints of fall color starting to pop! Fall is my favorite season, and we started it off fabulously with the Chapman's! It was so great seeing friends and previous clients again! I think we giggled our way through the entire session! View Santana's senior images here and Mariah's here! Enjoy!
