Up with the Sun

I think I may be starting to be converted to a morning person… for multiple reasons. I have always primarily been a night owl, but soon after children arrive, that pretty much gets thrown out the window, since sleep typically trumps late night editing marathons for this girl. Evening sessions have always been my favorite, but since Steve is in football with practice every night, we needed to do an a.m. shoot. And an early one at that! We started Steve’s session JUST after the sun came up, and I am glad that he and his mom were game for meeting me early, because the light we had was simply amazing! And I am SO glad it’s fall and the colors are starting to just peek through everything, making it the perfect time of year for photos! We wrapped up Steve’s session at the football field (after he had JUST sprained his ankle, mind you) and he wasn’t about to let that ruin his senior portraits!! This guy is a killer athlete and am super excited to share his sneak peek! Enjoy!

Friday Night at the Field

Meet Seth - West Delaware H.S. Senior!  Seth was a trooper during his session -- I tend to over-shoot with my seniors because I typically am having way too much fun and loose track of time…! And once again I was blessed with great weather! It was a tad bit windy (so I kept telling him how glad I was that I had a senior guy shoot that evening) but his hair didn't budge and we had fun running around town for his senior pics regardless! Seth is an amazing ball player to boot, so of course our last stop had to be the ball field. Senior photos should really showcase the senior, their personality and what they are passionate about! So I am always game for including something the seniors love! We did some pitching action shots and I even made the poor guy hold a couple of the poses mid pitch, so that I could play with my camera settings and grab some with the awesome evening sunset as our backdrop! (Thanks for bearing with me Seth!) I think the images pretty much sum up how he did. But I’ll let you all be the judge ~ Enjoy!

The Fine Art of Branch Holding

This session had me cracking up, quite often! One of my favorites was when Kaitlyn’s dad Tim got to participate in the senior picture taking experience. I typically try not to make the moms (or dads) work too hard during a session, if I can help it! But when I see a photo opportunity, I am willing to try just about anything to get the photo I envision in my head (which also includes me standing on some pretty rickety railings) So when there were some pretty leaves and branches that I wanted to fill the frame & they were just not in the right spot, we gotta make it happen! (insert Tim here) Below is a pullback of how one of the shots (also seen below) was made possible! Haha! Tim did a great job. But I do believe Kaitlyn wins the award for doing a better job! She rocked her portraits and I had an absolute blast with the Salow’s! And we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful evening – mother nature has been too good to us lately! Enjoy-

Double Take

Ummmm… I am not even quite sure where to begin with these two. Maybe I will start with TWINS ROCK!! The twin bond they share on top of being sisters is truly an amazing thing! Their session was quite a challenge (and also a first) for me, having two seniors during one timeframe made me quite nervous, to be honest. But I could not have asked for two more courteous, beautiful and hilarious ladies to work with! I had SO much fun working with these girls, and although they may be twins, they each have their very own look and personalities for sure!! And they, along with their mom Cheri and sister Holly had me cracking up almost the entire time! If there were a soundtrack for this session, it would definitely include a few Lion King songs and Drop it Like it’s Hot for sure… lol! I hope that they enjoy their sneak peek!!

Back of Camera Envy

These stunning images are of miss Sara. And she is awesome. She put up with some pretty miserable heat and humidity for her session, and she did it all with great style and grace! She is a Starmont H.S. 2015 senior! Sara had some gorgeous outfits for her session! And to say that I LOVED her killer studded boots would be an understatement! There were too many moments where I looked at the back of my camera during her session and I just shook my head… but it was a good headshake… because I was amazed by the images I pulled up and this girl's ability to rock a pose in front of the camera! I hope that everyone enjoys this sneak peek, I had SO much fun with Sara and her mom Lisa!! {who I happen to work with at my other gig! And P.S. she is pretty awesome too.}

Rain or Shine

Meet Haley! She is a West Delaware 2015 senior - and she could seriously do some modeling… :) BUT I am guessing she will be onto bigger and better things in her near future, as she's looking into studies in the medical field! I had SUCH a blast with Haley and her mom (and I briefly met her dad Mike)! The morning started off a little dicey, with rain showers attempting to ruin our plans… but the skies cleared off quickly and we were able to get in her entire session! I just loved all of the outfits these ladies put together and spent much of the morning asking… "oooh! Where'd ya get that?!" Haha! I absolutely LOVE my senior sessions, and I know my job is complete when the senior AND the mom leave saying they wish it wasn't over and that they had SO much fun!! Haley & Tracy, thank you for such a fun morning! Enjoy!
