Gone Country

Meet the Knippers!! I love these guys--- and what better location to shoot their family session, than out by this families own timber-ground!? Their cows got to take over the pasture the very next day, but we took advantage while we could! I also photographed Rachel's senior pics (of epic proportion!) -- found here -- last spring, and it was a pleasure working with this family once again, only this time, for a family shoot! Randy & Michelle are such a great pair, and their family couldn't be any more polite and accommodating! (Especially for this 35 week pregnant lady…) And if you see Rachel out and about, be sure to congratulate her on her graduation from M.V.!!
Enjoy the sneak peek~

Sisters

Where do I even begin....
These girls, are gonna break some hearts. Holy moly! When Kari and I started to plan outfits & accessories, I knew this session would be one of THE cutest to date. And these two did not disappoint!! We postponed this session for quite a while, since we have had one cold, rainy spring thus far! But we had a perfect evening for the session, finally! I worked with two of my favorite vendors for the girls' attire -- Palest Pink (necklaces) and Flourishing Creations (headbands) and Kari purchased the dresses from Zulily! Can you say ADORABLE combination?!! And the ladies even got their hair curled (by my mom and I). This was such a fun session, and the girls and I had a BLAST! To top it off, I had to throw a little tea party (from a little pinterest inspiration) for them complete with tea. (well... ok, it was juice!)
LOVE LOVE LOVE these images, and the girls in them!
Enjoy~

Baby Girl on the Way!

Meet Kasey and Matt!! I had a blast with this couple! We had an absolutely gorgeous evening for our photoshoot. I was SO glad the weather cooperated! Last year, Kasey and Matt won this session at a benefit, and had planned on using it for when they had their first child. But when Kasey messaged me to share the great news they were expecting, I also had some news of our very own... we were expecting too... and due within a few weeks of each other!! So, I knew photographing their little one was not a possibility, so Kasey mentioned doing maternity photos! And I LOVE baby bump photos, so of course that is what we did! :) Kasey looked so beautiful :) They are expecting a little girl this June, and I wish them all the best in this crazy wonderful journey ahead!! Enjoy~

Model Status

Seriously, I have no idea how I got to be SO lucky. I look forward to my senior shoots every year, and it seems they just can't get ANY better. And then out steps miss Hannah in her red heels, black dress, adorable hat, red lipgloss and amazing blue eyes. Seriously?! I could probably submit these to a magazine & they would snag them right up. (Not that Hannah wants to do any sort of modeling.. even though she could totally get away with it!!)
We snapped a few photos of Hannah for the yearbook back in October of last year (in a fabulous blue & mint top!), and since then Hannah has gotten her braces off and wanted a few more done, so we ventured out on a brisk but beautiful (50 degree) day and snapped the rest! And the results couldn't be any more stunning. I had many moments where I looked down at my camera screen and was in awe - and could not wait to work up her images!! Hannah, Jen (her mom) and I had a BLAST shooting these! And yep, the girl can play soccer, to boot! She is an all around beauty and sweetheart and am beyond excited to share a sneak peek of her gorgeous images with all of you! Enjoy!

City Streets

Up on the blog today is Dylan! We had an awesome senior 'mini' shoot last week on the streets of Manchester. Dylan's mom Christine is owner of the local clothing shop Fabulous Fridays in town! (which has AMAZING clothing, shoes & accessories) in case anyone needs to do some shopping! :) She had asked me to snap a few of Dylan for his upcoming graduation from East Buchanan H.S. this year! I do really like this him in the urban/city look, and he rocked a few with his shades on as well. And yes, we DID get a few smiles out of him too!
Enjoy-

Blessed

Words simply can never describe some of the things that happen to me as a photographer. At times, it is fun, at times it is exciting, and even sometime stressful & frustrating. Not every session or creative idea always goes as planned. But when everything comes together just as God intended, that's when the magic really happens. I shared a moment with little Genevieve and her mom, that I will never ever forget. Genevieve had finally fallen asleep, she was all snuggled up into the pretty pink set-up, I looked down and at her to start photographing her and was simply in awe. There was something about seeing that sweet baby girl perfectly curled up in a warm happy place that took me back to the joy of seeing my own & realizing he was all ours. No one else's. I then looked over at Jill and I could see the tears of joy welling up in her eyes. We shared some tears. There is NOTHING in this whole wide world, better than the time you become a mother and a family. For those that wish to experience it, I wish no one anything else. I am so thrilled to capture these moments for the Carpenters, and could't be more excited for them to begin the journey into parenthood! Enjoy~

At home with Nixon

Oh boy! I loooovvve babies :) And Mr. Nixon was so sweet and snuggly. I will keep my words short & sweet on this one, since the images are waaaay cuter than anything I could ever write :) I have been photographing the Lewin family for years, and it is was joy to meet and photograph their newest addition! I gotta give a shout to big brother Noxx-- he was SO quiet during Nixon's session, and he was ever so sweet with his little brother, I can tell he is just SO proud! Enjoy these ~
